The Campus:

SMIST is housed in a sprawling 12 acre campus situated in a calm, serene and pollution-free atmosphere in lush green surroundings at Mallampudi in E.G.District.  Equi-distant from Kakinada and Rajahmundry, the two major towns in the District and located midway between Rajanagaram & Anaparthi, SMIST is far enough from the hustle and bustle of urban life yet near enough logistically.

The essence of Engineering is to solve problems concerning human existence in this world. These problems relate to the real world and involve a high element of creativity. The range of problem is generally beyond your imagination. It absorbs everything such as designing a car, constructing a road, building, a bridge etc. These people design and manage the infrastructure of very high technology. This is precisely the work of an Engineer, which involves innovation and experimentation over wide range.

To excel as Center of engineering education turning out Highly motivated, Technically competent and Morally strong engineers, who will respond appropriately to global challenges for the benefit of all sections of society.

Sri Sai Madhavi Institute of Science & Technology began its journey in the year 2008. It obtained approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and with a proper affiliation to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTUK), Kakinada.

Sri Sai Madhavi Institute of Science & Technology(SMIST) promoted by the Mallidi Naryana Reddy Educational Society is an AICTE-approved Engineering College, affiliated to JNTUK, Kakinada.  Backed by a team of highly experienced and professional faculty, SMIST is striving hard to mark as an institution par excellence in imparting in quality technical education to students coming from far and wide.

The Secretary and Correspondent of SSMIST is Sri Mallidi Anantha Satyanarayana Reddy, M.B.A., M.Phil.,(Ph.D.) who is also Chairman of MNR Educational Society, Anaparthi.  Mr. Reddy is a leading educationist in the East Godavari District.  He has made his first foray in the field of education in 2001, and has established several educational institutions at various levels and various locations.  Mr. Reddy’s Manta is “Upliftment of the Rural Masses through Education”.  He has been awarded Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award in recognition of his sustained and dedicated efforts in this field.

The Director of SSMIST is Sri N.P.Abbai Reddy, M.B.A., M.Phil.,(Ph.D.) is an acknowledged educationist, with more than 15 years of experience in active teaching, research and administration at College level. The most important part of learning is to assimilate the knowledge effectively and then to put it to right application". 

SSMIST aims at developing an Application Oriented Centre of excellence for graduate education. An institution par excellence in consultancy and industry-Institute Interaction.

Apart from regular academic activities, we give equal importance to the games and sports. We provide excellent facilities and encourage our students to participate in various games and sports like: Cricket, Basketball, Volley Ball, Badminton, Shuttle, Chess, Carroms.

The Canteen is located within the campus to cater staff and students needs at subsidized rates apart from the provision for separate seating arrangement for staff and students.
