GVR&S College of Engineering & Technology, Guntur is one of the Institutes under S.G.V.R & S Educational Society, is oriented towards serving the rural students in and around to provide quality education and to make them competent to face global competition. The aim of GVR&S College of Engineering & Technology, Guntur is to offer UG & PG courses in Engineering & technology and Management with a view to develop manpower, possessing knowledge and skills needed to enter in to various industries. The institute incorporates into the instruction leadership, competencies, personality development, moral & ethical values that go beyond the curriculum, as the promoting society attaches equal importance to integrate human values into education.
The college started with full fledged infrastructure and it is the determination of the management that makes the college as one of the famous colleges of A.P. The college is a typical example of meticulous planning, resource scheduling, human endeavor and institutional management.
THE CAMPUS
A built area of 1.2 lakh sq.ft on a 10.8 acres plot houses with class rooms, drawing halls, laboratories and computer centers besides amenities like canteen, auditorium and gymnasium. A fleet of busses , save the staff and students from the vagaries of public transport. The aesthetically designed structures, a well laid out campus dotted with green trees and gardens merge into a landscape that inspire the minds to “Think Positively – Work Result Oriented”.

The Management and staff are a group of uncompromising people who stretch to unreasonable limits to attend their objective-excellence in every thing they do. They meet and interact frequently to set new starting lines than to celebrate the finishing lines reached. The college is possessive of its intellectual strong faculty with dedication have unity in their objective of enriching the students with up to date technical information, data & skills.

Library::
Objectives:
To meet the requirement of academic needs of UG/PG students.
To support and facilitate Research, Learning, Teaching and Administration activities of the Institution.
To make Library & Information System as user friendly as possible with the applications of ICT (Information and Communication Technology).
To provide appropriate and comfortable ambience for the library users.
The GVR & S College of Engineering & Technology Library has acquired a good collection of books and journals in the area of Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, and related subjects like General, Mathematics, Science and Management. The library provides information services such as current awareness service, selective dissemination of information service, reference service, bibliographic service etc.
The Library has a big Reading Room for students with a huge collection of reference books and magazines. Daily Newspapers are also readily available for reading.
Started with a small collection in 2007, the library has grown to its present strength of 23191 volumes consisting of 5748 titles. Besides there are 150 back volumes of periodicals, 500 Compact discs etc.
The library subscribes to 10 foreign and 25 Indian periodicals. By being a member of IEEE, Institution of Engineers, CSI and IETE, a number of the societal publications are also received. The other services offered to the teachers and students include Document Delivery Service, access to DELNET database, Xerox service.
Library operations are automated based on the ‘eZ School’ software package. Special care is taken to inculcate reading habit among students. Taking cognizance of the importance of TOEFL, IES, GRE, GMAT and related materials are acquired and updated. With the personal efforts undertaken by the management, about 2500 volumes have been acquired under Book Bank Scheme to help the students those belong to S.C. and S.T.
A digital library with various Computer Aided Learning (CAL) CD’s are also available with provision of Multimedia Systems for demo as well as practical learning. Separate Library Hours for each class are also included in the regular time table to inculcate the habit of attending library by the students.
Library is headed by a qualified and experienced Librarian, supported by technical and supporting staff. Library Staff members are always available to help students and staff alike.
To meet the needs of the students as well as to encourage them to make the best use of the library it will be at their service from 8.00 A.M. and 6.00 P.M. Plans are afoot for the construction of separate and more spacious library with central air-conditioning. In the years to come the focus will be to develop Internet based services and build a sizeable collection of non-conventional materials.
B Tech (Computer Science & Engineering)
Our institute is situated on a large serene campus & can easily be reached from Vidyavihar (the closest station), Kurla and Ghatkopar stations of Central Railway and Santacruz stations of Western Railway. BEST Bus No. 322 plies between Vidyavihar(W) and Santacruz(E) station and stops just outside the institute, while several buses pass from the nearby junction - named 'Kamani'.
