 About SVEI::
Padma Shri Dr. M. Mohan Babu, a well known Cine-Actor established SVET in 1993 to serve the cause of education in the backward region of Rayalaseema. He made his intensions public and vowed to provide quality education to students and support deserving students with financial assistance and concession irrespective of caste, creed, religion or region. He has been a source of inspiration to SVET Institutions in particular and to students in general.

 Message from Principal::
Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College was established in 1996 with an initial intake of 180 students to serve the cause of technical education in the backward region of Rayalaseema. The intake has increased exponentially to 1686 in 2012-2013. The College now offers 10 B.Tech programs, 8 M.Tech programs and MCA Program. AICTE has accorded permission to run 2nd Shift Polytechnic from the academic year 2009-10.
   


The College is located in a sprawling campus of about 30 acres, amidst sylvan surroundings with aesthetically built infrastructure. The College is approved by AICTE and affiliated to JNTU Anantapur. The College is known for its quality initiatives which is reflected in accreditations by NBA and many multinational organizations such as TCS and IBM. SVEC is selected for participation in TEQIP-II under Sub-component 1.1: Strengthening Institutions to improve Learning Outcomes and Employability of Graduates, funded by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India.

The College is accorded Autonomous Status by the UGC, New Delhi from the Academic Year 2010-2011.

At Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College the Vision and Mission impelled the Management to make the students good citizens, in addition to training them as knowledge workers and wholesome personalities. We provide congenial environment for the students to have imagination, creativity and enthusiasm.

About Principal

Dr. P.C. Krishnamachary, B.Tech, M.E., Ph.D, MISTE is working as Principal since 13.11.2008. He did his Ph.D in CAD/CAM from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, India. He published more than 20 research papers in National and International Journals and Conferences. He occupied many prestigious academic and administrative positions such as Professor, Head of the Department and Principal in a career spanning over 24 years. In line with the Vision of the Institution, he is working hard to transform it into a Centre of Excellence in Teaching and Research with unstinted support from the management, faculty and students.

OBJECTIVES

    To organize campus interviews for final year students with industries and business houses of repute from all over India.
    To prepare students to face campus interviews by arranging training in Aptitude tests, group discussions, preparing for Technical and HR interviews through professional trainers and SVEC alumni.
    To arrange Industrial visits and In-Plant training.
    To arrange final semester project for the students.
    To promote career counseling by organising guidance lectures by senior corporate personnel and most importantly by the immediately placed senior students


DREAM OFFER

SVEC has introduced a Dream Offer option for the placed students from the academic year 2007-2008. All the placed students are given two additional placement opportunities.

Companies like WIPRO, ADP, Redpine Signals, Infosys, Microsoft, Convergys have recruited SVEC students through the "Dream Offer" with packages of more than Rs.4 Lakhs per annum. Software companies that offer more than Rs. 3.5 lakhs per annum are offered 'Dream status'.

All the Core Companies are given 'Dream Offer' status regardless of the CTC offer which enables the students from core engineering branches to pursue the career in their own domain.

PLACEMENT CONSORTIUM


As part of its social outreach programme, SVEC has formed a Placement Consortium to help the engineering and science students of neighboring colleges. Students from these colleges in the nearby towns of Srikalahsti, Puttur, Madanapalle, Chittoor and Nellore benefit immensely from this Consortium. Reputed companies like TCS, WIPRO, Tech Mahindra, Mahindra Satyam, Convergys, Virtusa, Cybernet-SlashSupport, Rofous Software etc., have conducted campus interviews and recruited students through the Consortium.

SVEC also helps Science (B.Sc./BCA) students of neighboring colleges in finding placements.

Companies like TCS, Convergys, WIPRO, Mahindra Satyam and Cybernet-SlashSupport have conducted combined interviews at SVEC and recruited students.
